Darquita serves as Central Georgia Cancer Care’s Clinical Nurse Manager. In this role, she oversees the nursing staff in both the Macon and Warner Robins infusion centers. In addition, she’s one of CGCC’s Nurse Practitioners and helps assess, manage symptoms and provide care for our oncology patients. Darquita obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Middle Georgia State University, where she also became an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ANCC). In addition, she’s had her Oncology Nurse Certification (ONCC) since 2009. She has served our middle Georgia community in the medical field since 2018, most of those years having provided medical care to oncology patients. Darquita is also very involved in the community, taking part in the Health Care Ministry at Church and serving as a volunteer for United in Pink.
When asked why she loves what she does, she said, “Being a Nurse Practitioner allows me to meet and care for a very diverse group of patients. With this I am able to help them and make them feel better which is very rewarding. I am always happy to help and serve others when needed.”
